My work features handcrafted joinery and handworked surfaces.  I am inspired by the restrained lines in Shaker and Federal furniture and build functional pieces that tend toward these traditions.  Often I use lumber from my own trees and sawmill.  This allows me to build furniture from a customers logs (ie. a beloved tree fell down in the backyard) and mill logs to my own specific needs, reducing waste, travel expense and middlemen. 

I have been working wood in Vermont since 1989. I build furniture and farm with my family in West Brattleboro, Vermont.
